Promoting
other peoples products, ie affiliate marketing, is huge
business and allows the average person, who is yet to create
their own product, the opportunity to generate a substantial
online income.
If you
learn how to do it right, you can earn bucketloads of cash.
But if you fail to follow a few basic rules, you will find
it a very difficult to "break in".
With
this in mind, today's Feature Article examines the lessons

From The Most Common Affiliate Mistake!

Have
you received any emails lately about a brand new niche product
or program that's really taking the net by storm?
If you're
anything like me, you've probably got an inbox full of emails
from people promoting affiliate products or programs.
But
have you noticed how the emails promoting the same products
are virtually a carbon copy of each other?
There's
a huge chance that all they've done is simply used the same
sales copy provided by the owner of the site and they're
just repeating the same message over and over and over again.
The only difference is the affiliate link!
Annoying
isn't it?
This
is a BIG mistake that many people make and it's a prime
example of a basic rules that is commonly broken by less
experienced marketers.
There
is a great lesson to be learned from this.
If you're
promoting an affiliate product or program, then it is imperative
that you DO NOT simply cut and paste the ad copy that is
provided to you as an affiliate.
With
the number of people promoting products online, this just
doesn't cut it anymore. The competition is just to fierce,
so you have to be different... or pay the price!
Just
imagine what your subscribers would think if they received
5 emails promoting the same program... and your ad copy
was exactly the same as everybody else's.
Do you
see where we're going?
Your
subscribers will more than likely think... oh no, not ANOTHER
one!
You
know what will happen next don't you? Yep that's right.
You're email will immediately be sent where it deserves
to go... straight to the trash bin!
If you're
going to promote an affiliate product (which by the way
can be VERY profitable) you need to review the product and
then tell your subscribers IN YOUR OWN WORDS what you thought
of it so that you can give them an honest AND informed opinion.
This
will also allow you to include a more personal touch so
that it stands out from all the other messages promoting
the same thing. Not to mention gaining the trust and respect
of your subscribers!
Think
about it.
If you
received multiple emails promoting the same thing and all
but one were just a rehash of each other, which one would
you place your trust in?
The
same old bland emails that are obviously a blatant copy
of the ad copy provided by the product owner, which shows
they haven't even bothered to check out the product, let
alone use it...
...
or a recommendation from someone who appears to have actually
used the product and provided a personal and informed opinion?
Well
it's not really much of a decision is it!
Savvy
marketers know this and earn huge commissions by implementing
this strategy. Do you think they would continue to do this
if they weren't?
You
need to play it smart and take note of what the "big
dogs" are doing... and then follow in their footsteps.
In other words, you need to copy what they DO.
And
no. We don't mean copy their work. We mean copy their IDEAS
by creating your OWN ad copy!
To prove
our point, let's use PushButtonPublishing.com as an example...

When
this was first launched we received a mountain of emails
from a number of marketers all promoting this site. The
problem was that 96% of them were using exactly the same
ad copy... booooring!
So naturally
we dismissed them as pure hype.
But
there were a couple of emails from some very experienced
marketers that were different. Instead of using the same
ad copy as everyone else, they created there own. They put
there own personal touch to it and provided us with information
that allowed us to make an informed decision.
Now
as it turned out, we were already a member as we were offered
a pre-launch position by the owner of the site.
But
if we had to make a decision, who do you think we would
have joined under?
Get
our point. If not, then you need to re-read the above until
it is etched into your brain and then start taking ACTION
and implement what you've learned.
If you
do this you will definitely see an improvement in your click-thru
rate. After this it's just a matter of letting the sales
page do its magic.
If the
product has a good sales page and a good conversion rate,
then you'll definitely see a increase in your profits.
Once
you understand the importance of using this technique, all
that's left to do is to build your subscriber optin list
so that you can increase the amount of targeted traffic
you're able to drive to your affiliate sites.
It goes
without saying that the more eyes you have looking at your
offer, the more profi.ts you're going to earn!

Yes

because it is! Marketing is not complicated. It's only when
you try to read too much into it does it become confusing
and frustrating.

keep it simple at all times and the rest will look after
itself.

Cool Ways To Attract People To Your Website

1. Give
people a free subscription to your e-zine. Almost everyone
is publishing a e-zine nowadays so it's important to give
something extra with the free subscription. You could offer
a free gift or advertising when people subscribe.
2. Provide
your visitors with free content. Your content will be more
attractive to your visitors if it's up-to-date or original.
You could also offer people the option to reprint the content
in their e-zine or web site.
3. Offer
a free online directory. The directory could be full of
interesting ebooks, e-zines, web sites etc. If people find
your directory to be a valuable resource they will visit
it over and over.
4. Give
your visitors a free ebook. You could also include your
own ad in the ebook and allow other people to give it away.
If you don't want to take the time to write one, you could
ask other writers permission to use their articles.
5. Hold
free online classes or seminars. They could be held in your
web site's chat room. The idea of "live" information
will definitely entice people to visit your web site. You
will become known as an expert on the topic.
6. Give
visitors a free entry into your contest or sweepstakes.
The prizes should be something of interest or value to your
visitors. Most people who enter will continually revisit
your web site to get the results.
7. Let
visitors download free software. It could be freeware, shareware,
demos etc. You could even turn part of your site into a
free software directory. If you created the software, include
your ad inside and let other people give it away.
8. Offer
free online services or utilities from your web site. They
could be search engine submitting, copy writing proofreading
etc. The service or utility should be helpful to your target
audience.
9. Give free consulting to people who visit your web site.
You could offer your knowledge via email or by telephone.
People will consider this a huge value because consulting
fees can be very expensive.
10.
Give your visitors a free membership to your online club.
People want to belong to something, why not your online
club. You could also give away a free e-zine for club members
only.
